If I'm honest I don't really like it, it's an interesting idea certainly but as long as downvoted posts aren't hidden or collapsed eventually once they reach a certain amount of downvotes I think it will be okay, because it won't change the way threads are displayed or how/if people speak their mind.

And not sure if it has been suggested/discussed yet, but I think a "+" should be included for the positively rated posts as well, not really sure why but I think it would look nicer and more balanced.
This setup on a post by post basis works really well, much better than an overall reputation system like other forums use where one bad post/thread can kill your reputation.

I love the new loupe, that's really handy how you can park it to the side and it follows your cursor without obstructing your larger view. Quite a nice upgrade I think, and for free!:)

Perhaps the word we should be using is "ignorance" rather than jealousy. Very often the rabid iHaters (in my experience) have had little hands on experience with an iPhone and are quick to dismiss it without having actually seen some of its strengths and what makes it so popular with so many people.
And that goes two ways: Apple fans can be quick to dismiss Android phones for being "fragmented" or clunky or whatever, when in fact they do have some killer features which Apple could learn from.
But then there's those who have owned or used one and genuinely don't like it for whatever reason, but I'd bet those people are a lot less quick to attack someone's personal preference like the more ignorant ones are.
I once had a friend who disliked Macs, and when I asked her why, she said "because they can't run MSN Messenger or browse web forums." :rolleyes:

installing the HD into your macbook pro? i'd like to know how that goes. i've seen some issues with the 1tb drives not fitting just right. (too thick)

Yes I put it in the pro. It fit without any issue. Smooth as the stock drive and ssd installs. So far I'm very happy with it.
It is thicker 12.5 compared to the norm 9.5, but current MBPs can handle it. I can confirm 17-inch, but I did a lot of research before buying and have read about success with the 15 and 13 inch models too.
Currently letting all my data xfer over.

It amazes me how many of you sound like little children that didn't get what you wanted for Christmas! And the only thing that blows my mind more is that you sit on this forum and talk about what Apple should have done as if you could make better decisions than SJ himself! If you had all of the data in front of you, which you don't, you wouldn't have the faintest idea what to do! So, get over the fact that Steve didn't give you his "Oh, one more thing" and the fact that the (insert your favorite product here) didn't get mentioned today. I'd have to disagree. There are a lot of ways to keep tabs on someone if you wish to do them harm. The issue is whether the (as yet unknown) purpose of this data is useful enough to justify it's being there in the state it's in. There is no immediate way it gives anyone any special or expedient means of causing another harm. You'll need a lot of contingencies and variables come together to form specific cases. I really don't see that happening. That said, the reasons I've seen so far aren't that nefarious. It actually makes sense to be tracked in this way, especially in light of the argument that it's a caching mechanism in order to make it easier to switch from tower to tower. I can believe this. I don't believe there's any evil behind it. Nor do I for the moment believe this is easily accessible by anyone other than physically by the user/owner of the phone. And then it's likely not easy for the average person.

This is utter ********. The experience is key, and LTE hardware is nowhere near advanced enough to guarantee the experience that Apple would demand for a device the stature of the iPhone.
Remember: we're talking about the company that withheld phone wallpapers on the Original and 3G iPhones because the experience would have been several milliseconds too slow.
Fact: Verizon is not expecting LTE-capable hardware until mid-2011. There's no way Apple magically has an LTE phone ready to go while everyone else won't have one for 6 months.
Fact: Apple declined to integrate 3G into the iPhone when 3G was already available, because the hardware wasn't power-efficent enough. One of the main distinguishing features of the iPhone is its battery life. They're not going to tarnish that image by hacking first-generation, power-hogging LTE hardware into the phone, in ADDITION to CDMA, which is another radio tech they're only now deploying.

This would actually look nice, if it was curved. Not in an ugly box/ mini MacBook form. But then again, aluminum does screw up the 3G frequency. Unless it was a better type of aluminum, or mate type of cover. & slimmer (:

FWIW, I regret not buying some AAPL a long, long time ago...didn't do it because my employer makes it a major hassle to own individual stocks because they apply stricter financial reporting requirements (if I were to set up an automatic monthly purchase, I'd have to report it every month, run it up through management for signatures *every* month, etc, etc. Very painful).

The people I have spoken to who use PC's are not nerds or power users, however, they do have monitors that work perfectly fine and want to use them. Why would someone purchase a 20" iMac when they already have sitting on their desk a 12 month old 19" LCD? They may not all need expandability (or really understand what that means) but they are of the mind set that they must have the option. These people are simply not considering Apple computers because of the lack of an upgradeable computer that is under $1500 (the mini is not easily upgradeable unless you happen to be one of those nerds you are refering to). The gap between the mini and the Mac Pro is enormous in both power and price yet there is nothing in the middle price/power range. Simply dismissing this catagory of people will not convince them to buy an iMac. Further, saying the operating system will convince them to switch is a moot point if they never buy the computer in the first place.
My friends, family, and co-workers are all interested in this "OS X thing" but get turned off at the price of the Pro, the lack of power of the mini, and the all in one of the iMac. This is what I am seeing, and Apple is losing sales because of it.

I'm calling it B.S. for sure. The shell geometry is insanely archaic and looks nothing like the fluidic form-factor seen on current and previous iPhones as well as the iPad. Creases where edges and surfaces meet are way too harsh for Apple's I.D. standards. FAKE!!
